Discussion Four

The final discussions for this module will serve two functions. The first is a forum to ask and answer questions of all kinds about the final work for this course. If you have problems analyzing your data, or writing conclusions, you will be able to get some assistance here among your instructor and classmates.
The second posting serves as the class presentation for your action research project. This discussion requires that you present your final project in Power Point format and that you respond to at least two classmates’ projects with several thoughtful comments connecting the work they did with something in your project. If you create your PowerPoint in Google Slides, you can easily post the link to this discusion.  Please ask if you need help finding google slides. See the due dates for posting your AR Presentation to the discussion board and responding to your colleagues in the Course Schedule

Module Three

In this discussion we will focus on any questions you may have about writing the Literature Review as well as supporting each other as we implement the action research project itself.

Second discussion/blog posting

The discussion for this module requires that you share the final version of your research question and some thoughts about how you might set your project up to conduct your research. You are invited to ask design questions and process questions of your peers and instructor, and share some of your ideas as everyone starts putting a project together.

Discussion One Introductions

Module One Discussion Posting

This is a two part discussion.  Part one of the first discussion asks you to introduce yourself to the class. Your posting should include information that will provide the class with your professional profile - such as your major/specialization, where you live, where you work, some of the ideas you have about possible topics for your research project, and some of the questions you have about your teaching, your school, your students, etc. Remember, you should respond to at least one of your colleagues; of course, you are encouraged to participate beyond this minimum requirement.
In the second part of discussion one you are asked to share the highlights of the readings for this first module. Respond in detail to at least two of the following questions as you read the text and explore the resource websites:
1.What new insights do you have regarding action research that you think would be valuable to other professionals?
2.How you might use action research to improve some aspect of your work or practice?
3.What problem or student learning need will your project address - why is this an important focus for your project?
